Former Hallmark Channel star Candace Cameron Bure left that now-“woke” network, and has revealed that her new TV network will focus on “traditional marriage,” as opposed to gay couples, in its Christmas movies.
For that unforgivable offense, the conservative actress has been at-tacked as a hom0-phobe and a bi-got, and has even been compared to Eva Braun.
In an interview Monday in The Wall Street Journal, Candace Cameron Bure spoke about the Great American Family network, for which she serves as the chief creative officer.
She joined the family-oriented network after departing the Hallmark Channel, where she starred in numerous Christmas movies before the channel decided to go woke by vigorously embracing LGBTQ plotlines and characters – and turning off a huge part of its fanbase, causing ratings to plummet, especially around Christmastime.
“I think that Great American Family will keep traditional marriage at the c0re,” she told the newspaper when asked about the subject.
“GAC fits my brand perfectly….we share a vision of creating compelling, wholesome content for an audience who wants to watch programming for and with the whole family. Great, quality entertainment with a positive message is what my partnership with GAC is all about.”
Now with the holidays fast approaching and a “Great American Christmas” series set to rival Hallmark’s annual “Countdown to Christmas” programming, Bure has hinted that, unlike Hallmark, GAF will present basic Christian teaching, including marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman.
Bure’s brief comment has sparked outrage from the LGB TQ can cel mob, as well as fellow entertainment industry names. Actress Hilarie Burton called her a “bi got” in a tweet. “You ride that prej udice wave all the way to the bank.”
Screenwriter and frequent New Yorker contributor Paul Rudnick compared Bure to Eva Braun, the wife of Ado lf Hi tler, as well as the Ku Klux Klan

Bure appeared in Hallmark films for more than a do zen years and 30 movies, especially in Christmas-themed movies.
GA C Family is run by Bill Abbott, former CEO of Hallmark Channel’s parent company Crown Media Family Networks. Abbott res igned his longtime Crown Media post in January 2020 following Hallmark’s decision to stop airing a commercial featuring a same-s ex wedding — a decision the network quickly reversed amid a sea of contr oversy.
But the network’s turn to the hard, LG BT left has hurt its ratings since, with their Christmas 2021 offerings declining nearly 20% from a year earlier.
