“This was the hardest week of my life,”

After suffering from respiratory syncytial virus, or RSV as it is more popularly known, Amy Schumer’s son Gene is recovering.

As she juggled the tough schedule of hosting Saturday Night Live this week, the comedian and actress, 41, disclosed that her baby with husband Chris Fischer was hospitalized for RSV in an Instagram post on Sunday.

Along with a collection of images from the SNL set, Schumer said, “This was the hardest week of my life. “When my baby was rushed to the ER and hospitalised for RSV, I had to skip Thursday’s rehearsals. A shout-out to all the parents who are currently going through this.”

Thankfully, Gene, 3, is now “home and better,” Schumer continued.

We are sending our prayers for him.
