The exquisite wedding ring that Francesca Teal feared she would never see again was saved by a compassionate stranger.
On August 6 at Hampton, New Hampshire’s North Beach, the Massachusetts woman, 29, was participating in a football game with her husband, Austin.
She claimed that the ring dropped into the waist-deep water after slipping off her fingers. According to Teal, ‘my heart fell at that very instant.’
The pair made every effort to find the ring, which was not a typical piece of jewelry, but they were unsuccessful.
Her great-grandmother, who fused her wedding band and engagement ring together, was the true owner of the white gold and diamond ring.
As a result, Teal was driven to locate it because it was so valuable. She posted in a Facebook group for Hampton Beach to share her experience with ‘anyone who might have a metal detector’ who ‘frequents’ the area.
Asci immediately started looking, but it was fruitless. He didn’t give up and went back a second time, but this time he left empty-handed.
