People commemorate not only their biological fathers but also other men in their life who have taken on the role of a father in some capacity on the very important holiday known as Father’s Day. It doesn’t matter if your paternal relative is a step-dad or an uncle; today is a very significant day.
Goldie Hawn is Kate Hudson’s mother, and Kurt Russell is her stepfather. Kate Hudson’s family has a very glamorous background thanks to both of these actors. It is reasonable to believe that the actress lives a life of incredible glitz and glamour, yet this is not entirely accurate. Even though Kate Hudson is content, she struggled through a difficult childhood and has no contact with her biological father, Bill Hudson.
During the course of an interview, she discussed the separation in detail. “I believe that growing apart from one another is, regrettably, extremely common. She expressed her opinion that “I think it’s vital for people to talk about that.”
She values her mother and stepfather, but she also wants to emphasize that the estrangement from her biological father is not becoming any easier despite the fact that she is grateful for them.
She said, “I have a great family, I have a beautiful mother, and I have a stepfather who stepped in and played a huge, huge part in sharing what it is to have a dependable father figure in our life, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that we didn’t know our dad.” She also added, “I have a stepfather who stepped in and played a huge, huge part in sharing what it is to have a father figure in our life.” She meant that acknowledging the fact that she does not have a relationship or connection with her birth father is vital, but that this does not take away from the fact that her family is wonderful.
She often talks about how the process of healing is a personal journey for her, and she wants to make sure that she emerges on the other side completely whole.
“As I’ve kind of gone through that process, I’ve come to the conclusion that… When I look at my father, I can’t help but think things like, “You know, the love has never ever gone anywhere.” It has never not been there, despite all the other things that have gotten in the way. “And healing is… personal, and I think people sometimes just need to hear that they aren’t alone in that,” she says. “And mending is something that takes time.”
In spite of all the highs and lows and the turbulent nature of their relationship, the actress is adamant in her conviction that Kurt Russell is a fantastic parent to his children. This is the one belief she has never wavered from. Since 1984, when they both appeared in the film “Swing Shift” together, Russell has been in a relationship with Goldie Hawn, who is Kate Hudson’s mother. Even though they have never tied the knot, the pair is completely committed to one another.
Goldie has a straightforward explanation for why the two of them never tied the knot: “Marriage didn’t work for either one of us.” I’m not saying that it wouldn’t work again, but I didn’t think that getting married was something that was really necessary for us to do.”
The depth of their attachment is demonstrated by the fact that Kurt devoted himself entirely to caring for Goldie’s children. On Father’s Day, Kate Hudson wrote a heartfelt message that was devoted to her cherished stepfather, Kurt Russell.

Russell does not have an Instagram account, but his longtime love Goldie Hawn does. And, as a responsible partner and mother, she showed Kurt the tribute their daughter had paid to him right away.
Russell left a sweet comment with Goldie’s Instagram account on the post. “Birdie, mommy just showed me this picture, this perfect Father’s Day present,” the comment read. I’ve never seen anything like it before. Wow… that’s a killer. A lot of water under the bridge… But it’s difficult to see because all that water seems to have found its way into my eyes… Sweetheart, thank you for making me the luckiest father in the world.”
This isn’t the first time Kate Hudson has written a post about her stepfather. In the past, she has praised Kurt Russell for being a wonderful father. “Our great loyal protector,” she wrote. Our trustworthy authentic captain. Our father is a wild, sometimes untamed adventurer! Skiing out of helicopters, flying in open cockpit planes, dirt bikes, bareback horseback riding, motorcycle rides, boat racing…an adventure-filled childhood and adulthood. Our Pa always makes life enjoyable. Always up for an adventure, always ready to live the good life with his family. He’s a fantastic father. We were extremely fortunate.
