Actor From My Favorite Movie Passes Away At The Age Of 95

Henry Silva, who will always be remembered for his 130 film credits, has passed away at the age of 95. Initial reports indicate he died of “natural causes” at the Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital in Woodland Hills, California.

Henry often played gangster and criminal characters, but his biggest role was probably playing Johnny Cool in the 1963 film of the same name. However, Henry will also be remembered for his other roles including:

Ocean’s Eleven, The Manchurian Candidate, Hawaii Five-O, Mission: Impossible, Ghost Dog, Code of Silence, Dick Tracy, Escape From The Bronx, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, The Sixth Sense, and Killing in the Sun.

His work spanned over 50 years. After being born in New York, Henry moved to Hollywood as a young man and the rest is history.

Tributes for the celebrated actor began pouring in as soon as the sad news was released. Deana Martin posted the following on Twitter:

“Our hearts are broken at the loss of our dear friend Henry Silva, one of the nicest, kindest and most talented men I’ve had the pleasure of calling my friend. He was the last surviving star of the original Ocean’s 11 move. We love you Henry, you will be missed.”

Fans have also expressed their appreciate for his talents, with many agreeing that he was “one of the most versatile actors in film and television.”

Henry was married three times and is survived by his two sons, Scott and Michael.
