Christina Applegate is perhaps best recognized for her numerous film and television roles. However, she is best known for overcoming cancer, which she was found to have in 2008, at the height of her career.
After a protracted battle, Christina was able to defeat the illness. She did not, however, do it by herself. Throughout her battle, she was supported by her friends and family. She found her rock in one particular person.

Christina acknowledged that it was challenging, but she tried her best to accept the changes in her life and accept the fact that her physical characteristics had changed. She claimed that she put on a pleasant façade for everyone else, but Martyn was a big help. She said: “He gave me something to smile about and something I genuinely wanted in life.”

Following her cancer diagnosis, Christina and Martyn dated for two years before getting engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2010. Both Martyn and Christina were planning their second wedding.

The rings that the couple exchanged were created by Neil Lane, while Christina’s gown was a Maria Lucia Hohan masterpiece. Sadie Grace, their joint daughter, was joined in the family by a kid from Martyn’s previous union.

Christina announced on Twitter in August 2021 that she had been given the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a condition that affects the nerves’ outer sheath. She said how she felt encouraged by those who were going through the same struggle.

She was able to walk at first with a cane, but as time went on or the weather got colder, she found it harder to get around without her body giving out. Since then, she has started using a wheelchair.
